| This is a true story about a real person. Actually, several real people. They don't even know each other, but they act in the same way because they are working for the same being. Even if they read this (which they may or may not) they probably don't know that I'm writing about them. For the purpose of this post I will call them "angel".
There are some places where you must behave in a certain way to be treated with respect. I'm not talking about propriety. I'm talking about "fitting in". Angel doesn't care that I don't "fit in". On the conterary Angel lets me talk about my defiance to it. Angel talks at the right time and listens at the right time. Angel isn't perfect my any means, no one is, but God uses Angel to speak to me. Today I was feeling rather low and needed someone to talk to. I wanted to talk to Angel, and it occured to me why I wanted to talk to Angel. It's because Angel lets me be myself. Because of that, I have greater respect for Angel and am more likely to be who Angel wants me to be (by the way, who Angel wants me to be is a very Godly person). Then it occured to me that that is the way that God is. God lets us be ourselves, even our sinful selfs. He loves us not matter who we are or who we want to be. God's amazing love and amazing grace make us want to be who God wants us to be, not just because we are indebted to him because of his sacrifice, but because someone who can love like the is worth emulating.
Now there are two things I want you, my faithful reader, to get out of this post. The first is that God's love is amazing and he shows it to us in many ways. One of those ways is through his servants, which brings me the second thing I want you to get out of this post: Everyone needs an Angel now and then. I'm sure you know this from your own experience. The people in this story, as I said, are real people who have their faults. My prayer is that this post will inspire you, yes, you who has read this far, to go be someone's Angel. God uses real people. Let him use you to shine his light to other people, as Angel in the story did for me.
Romans 5:8 (NASB): But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

| My brother's best friend just went to the hospital with a rock in his foot. His hand and leg are also really scraped up. For those of you who are on my protected list and don't know him, he's in the solid navy blue shirt and red shorts in the picture below.
Update: He lived through getting the stone out and is now here, as weird as can be.
